Hello and welcome to my final beta video for BCM, Now before I get into detail about how far my final digital artefact has come, I have to address the reason why it has not come as far as I would of like it too.
During week 6, I lost a very important family member and this did set me back 2 – 3 weeks of university work. I have tried my hardest to stay on top of my project, unfortunately I have failed.
I have completed what I wanted to, such as creating my own website for PierroPerspective on wix.com and I have created several Instagram reels and posted new content.
However i feel as though I could of done so much more and hopefully from now until my final digital artefact is complete I have posted and created more content for my viewers.
Background
I decided to create PierroPerspective for numerous reasons, one because I love photography, two because I want to share what I capture with the world and three because I want to truely build a name for myself within the photography world. I have always had passion for photography and I have always dreamt of creating my own business.
I decided to stick with the same Instagram account I have had since first year uni due to the fact that I already have a followers and following base and I can build off of that. I am finding it difficult using the website, however it its mainly there for my future customers and collaborations to connect me outside of my instagram DMs.
Prototype
My Beta prototype is basically just my instagram account and the final creation of my website. Within my Instagram account I have included several reels, which are short videos to go along with my photos that are posted.
I have mainly focused on landscape images and landscape videos throughout this semester and hopefully soon I will be focusing on posting and capturing more portraits within my account.
My website is made up of different photographs of mine, some information about me and who I am and also different ways to contact me.
My prototype and Instagram account caught someones eye and they have requested that I will be their photographer for their wedding in January 2022. I also received several business offers from different restaurants inWollongong asking to take photos of their menu and food once isolation is over. These two opportunities are very big for my business and I have only just began once again.
Process
My process of posting the images and videos is very simple however, capturing the moments is even easier! Because I have such a love for photography I feel as though I can point my camera at anything and capture its beauty in a second!
Okay so here is what I decided to iterate…. It’s a very small detail but it made a huge difference. When posting images on instagram I wanted to see what would happened if used the same hashtags on each photo and video I posted and honestly I did not get much attention brought o my account, and because of this I decided to change my process of posting content to my account.
I decided to use different hashtags for each and every photo and video posted, I found that this allowed my account to reach a larger audience and gain new followers, for example, My first reel did amazing! I chose an upbeat and trending song and used trending hashtags, which allowed my video to reach a very very large audience.
Considering that this was the outcome I have followed the same process for everything that I have posted on my instagram account and I think that this has allowed me to continue to gain new followers every time I post a new image or reels video.
Conclusion
I have learnt that I have to be unique in each piece of content I post by using different trending music or trending hashtags and I know I will continue to be motivated to create my own business and I will continue to capture more and more images and videos to gain a larger audience and following base, and hopefully will receive new customers!

Perspective Photography 
Hi Charlotte! I also really like photography and capturing photos that happen in the blink of an eye. In my eyes, creating photography as my own business is a very cool thing, and it is also something I didn’t have the courage to do. With a stable fan base and stable update speed, social accounts can continue to steadily increase page views. I think you have done a good job, so don’t be frustrated.
Due to you mentioned that this semester’s project is mainly focused on pictures and videos of landscapes, so my suggestion is that you can make each shooting location into a video of 1-minute video or 5-minute video, and then intersperse the beautiful photos taken in the video. Put videos on tiktok and YouTube channels. Then as you said, you can combine popular music and videos on the video platform, and label them appropriately. I really like the videos you shot, so I think the audience of video social platforms is even bigger. This will not only help you expand your attention and followers, but also help you get more opportunities for work cooperation.
If you still want to take photography as your own business in the future, you can collect some information about photography competitions to try competitions and other activities. Not only can you get bonuses, but you can also get professional recognition. This will also win you a bigger bargaining chip when looking for cooperation opportunities. I am happy that you have good working opportunities for cooperation, and hope that you can capture better photography while focusing on gaining more followers.
